Strong eyes, strong communities – 12 month progress report

The eye health and vision sector remains strongly committed to improving eye health and vision care for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.

Strong Eyes, Strong Communities – a five year plan for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander eye health and vision provides the overarching policy framework that is guiding our collective efforts, and the 24 recommendations that accompany it identify some of the critical actions needed.

It’s now over 12 months since Strong Eyes, Strong Communities was released and during that time, it has been fantastic to receive in principle support for the plan from all governments, as well as some early commitments from the Australian Government.
