Vision 2020 Australia's submission to the National Disability Insurance Agency on the Information, Linkages and Capacity (ILC) Building Commissioning Framework asserts a number of recommendations on how to best prepare the blindness and vison impairment services sector for the ILC sourcing process and outcomes-based performance measurements. Primarily, it asserts that investment in practical training forums, workshops, mentoring and accessible resources as well as safeguards are needed, so that smaller organisations servicing specific sections of the community are able to compete equally. These safeguards will work to ensure that people who are blind or vision impared have the services and supports they need to fully participate in the community.
