Carla NorthamCarla Northam, CEO Vision 2020 Australia

Chief Executive Officer 
Carla has over 20 years' experience as an accomplished senior executive in various industries and sectors including not-for-profit and member-based organisations. Most recently, she was the CEO at national peak body and member-based organisation Family Day Care Australia.

Carla has strong and proven experience with a highly applicable background that aligns well in leading Vision 2020 Australia into its next phase. Her background in the health area gained through her roles at the Vision Eye Institute and Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is highly valued at Vision 2020 Australia. Carla also possesses a highly developed political acumen and has extensive experience engaging with the Australian Government on advocacy issues on behalf of members, recognised through an appointment to a Ministerial Advisory Committee.



Dee TuminoDee Tumino

Vision Initiative Program Manager
Dee has over seven years experience working in prevention and population health and 15 years in project and program management. The Vision Initiative is implementing projects to improve awareness and understanding of eye health and vision care in areas of Victoria at an increased risk of eye disease. Dee oversees the program and works collaboratively with partner organisations from across Victoria.




Sarah ZerbibSarah Zerbib

Vision Initiative Health Promotion Officer
Sarah has 11 years experience working in the eye health and not-for-profit sectors in the UK and Australia. She joined the Vision Initiative team in 2012 after working for an eye health charity in the UK for seven years in varied roles including development, public awareness and marketing. 


Christine PereiraChristine Pereira

Vision Initiative Health Promotion Officer
Christine has over 10 years' experience in research and evaluation. She recently completed a Master's in Public Health. Her role at Vision 2020 Australia involves achieving the objectives of the Vision Initiative through collaboration with health professionals and the community, and coordinating and evaluating program activities.


Bhawana YadavBhawana Yadav

Vision Initiative Health Promotion Officer
Bhawana’s professional interests revolve around health promotion and disease prevention programs. She has over eight years experience promoting health and wellbeing from a nutritional perspective in a wide variety of clinical, community and corporate settings. She worked for a multinational health care company for four years. Bhawana has a Master of Science (Food & Nutrition) from India, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne.


Nicolette TorcelloNicolette Torcello

Vision Initiative Health Promotion Officer
Nicolette has extensive experience in health promotion having worked in the prevention and early detection of women’s cancer with recent experience in the eye health sector. She has post graduate qualifications in health promotion from Deakin University and enjoys working with Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities particularly in rural areas. She has worked passionately in health promotion and looks forward to making a difference at Vision 2020 Australia.  


Danielle Williams headshotDanielle Williams

Policy and Advocacy Manager
Danielle has over 15 years’ experience in regulatory policy programs in health and community services, working with vulnerable communities, Governments  and industry peak bodies. During her time working in the Victorian State Government Danielle participated in interjurisdictional policy committees across  Australia and New Zealand. She holds a Master of Social Sciences (Policy and Human Services) and a Bachelor of Arts. Danielle joined Vision 2020 Australia in 2017 to lead the Policy and Advocacy team and is eager to contribute her leadership, policy and advocacy skills in partnership with members and Government.


Heather Allardyce

Policy and Advocacy Officer
Heather has over ten years' experience in public health both locally and globally. She has worked in health policy, program management and technical support in Australia, Jordan and Sierra Leone. Heather joined Vision 2020 Australia in 2017 and is working with the global health portfolio. She holds a Masters of International Development and Environmental Analysis (Community Development) and a Masters of Public Health (International Health), both from Monash University.

Ché Stockley

Policy and Advocacy Adviser
Ché is a legally trained policy specialist with 20 years’ experience in the court, government and the peak and community sectors.  Ché’s work has focussed on social justice issues, discrimination, violence prevention and family and women’s policy. Ché brings to Vision 2020 Australia strong experience in submission and report writing for government inquiries, royal commissions and Senate inquiries. Ché has also presented at conferences, published research and journal articles on a range of social justice issues. Ché holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor or Arts, and Graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice and Women’s Studies.

Karen BignellKaren Bignell

Office Manager
Karen holds a Bachelor of Law degree and has over 20 years of experience in office management working in various industries and sectors, including corporate finance, education and manufacturing.  As Office Manager, Karen provides administration and governance support to the Board, CEO and team at Vision 2020 Australia.



Trevor OlsenTrevor Olsen

Senior Bookkeeper 
Trevor has over 20 years' experience in the not for profit sector. Prior to this he  worked in the public sector as a bank manager. He has extensive knowledge of member based and charitable organistions. Trevor provides financial support to the Vision 2020 Australia Executive team and CEO.
