The Lancet Global Health Commission on Global Eye Health will be launched this month. The report, which examines new and existing research in eye health, has been informed by 73 experts from 25 countries globally. By looking at global development, economics, healthcare systems, equity and the workforce, the Commission aims to inform governments, communities, and other stakeholders about the importance of improving eye health to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and provides recommendations to improve lives and livelihoods for all.
Three events are planned for the report the week after publication: an official launch through the United Nations’ Friends of Vision Group and an in-depth webinar on the Commission, repeated for two different time zones. To register, please use the links below:
