The power and shortfalls of the NDIS
Retired academic and Blind Citizens Australia Vice President Dr Lynne Davis reflects on how the NDIS has caused her both optimism and anguish.

Dr Lynne Davis is a retired academic with a PhD in Sociology. She was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in her early twenties, and has been involved in disability advocacy and policy for many years. She has been a member of the NSW Disability Council and Deputy Chair of the National Disability Advisory Council, a Board member of the Royal Blind Society of NSW and the inaugural Board of Vision Australia. She is currently the Vice President of Blind Citizens Australia.
