National Primary Health Care Data Asset Submission

A number of members have told us they would like us to look at how and where we can get eye health and vision related data embedded into broader health data collections and reports.

Recently, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) released a draft plan to develop a National Primary Health Care Data Asset for comment and review. Vision 2020 Australia invited interested members to take part in a consultation to contribute to the review and as a result of that work, we recently made this submission to the AIHW.

Our submission focused on the eye health and vision care sector’s desire for greater access to data to inform planning and how the sector, and the data it collects, can be used in the development of the data asset.
