Vision 2020 Australia is a national partnership of over 50 Australian-based organisations involved in:

• eye care service delivery
• eye research
• low vision support
• vision rehabilitation
• professional assistance
• community support
• health promotion and development

Benefits of Vision 2020 Australia membership

As a member of Vision 2020 Australia, your organisation will be able to

• participate in meetings with senior government representatives
• contribute to implementation of the National Framework for Action to Promote Eye Health and Prevent Avoidable Blindness and Vision Loss
• influence policy development and advocacy initiatives
• participate in national Member Forums
• network with members from the eye health and vision care sector at formal and informal events
• participate in the Annual General Meeting, and vote and stand for positions on the Vision 2020 Australia Board of Directors
• be profiled once a year on the Vision 2020 Australia website
• receive annual reports, newsletters and news specifically related to the eye health and vision care sector (including funding announcements, research findings etc)
• join and participate in the Advocacy Network and the Marketing and Public Relations Network, and their working groups
• join and participate in the Global Committee and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee
• access advice and support on advocacy campaigns, including the development of submissions and applications
• access advice and support on public education activities, including media and PR support
• be involved in professional education programs coordinated by Vision 2020 Australia
• be involved in the planning and staging of World Sight Day events, and activities across Australia

Membership structure and fees

Our membership structure consists of seven separate categories, giving a wide scope for organisations to become involved.

Fees do not include GST.

Membership fees are paid annually, or in two half-yearly instalments.
